The Clinical Dermatology Care Course Overview
The Clinical Dermatology Care Course (CDCC) is one of the St. John's DermAcademy flagship courses, designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to clinical dermatology for nurses and allied healthcare professionals who are new to the speciality or wish to extend their specialist knowledge and skills.

It is delivered virtually through an interactive learning platform and supported by a series of six live webinars, with continuous dialogue with the course tutors over 12 weeks.

The course is composed of six themed sections covering a broad clinical introduction to dermatology care.

What is the aim of the course?
The primary aim of CDCC is to offer the opportunity to acquire or extend your clinical knowledge and skills in dermatology care. This is the only comprehensive, practice focussed, entry level specialist course designed for nurses and AHP in the UK.
​
It is widely accessible, at an affordable price and attracts practitioners in specialist care and those in generic services e.g. GP nurse practitioners, emergency care practitioners.

What do I get at the end of the course?
A course certificate is awarded upon completion of the online material and attendance at live webinars.

For those who wish to gain academic credit, extending their academic study skills, a supplementary work-based learning module can be undertaken as an option at level 6 or 7 in partnership with King College London in the semester following completion of the Clinical Dermatology Care Course.
What is the commitment as a student on the CDCC?
The course requires an estimated 45 hours of online self-directed learning plus attendance 15 hours of live webinars.
Attendance at all 6 live webinars is expected

We ask you to give a short 10-minute presentation to a small group of fellow students at the end of the course
​
Completion of all the online learning tasks is a requirement

Fees
